Last week, I was obsessing over Keds and really felt I needed a new pair to add to my Spring/Summer wardrobe. You can check out that post HERE. I ultimately decided on the Keds Champion Stripe Oxford for me. Last summer, I found myself a little infatuated with stripes after seeing a striped American Apparel bodysuit in a music video and purchased a striped body con dress posted HERE. It turned out to be a fantastic purchase. I have been able to wear it throughout my pregnancy, with leggings of course.
In addition to my new Keds, my eyes have been drawn once again to stripes. Stripes have always been a classic of sorts but their sustained trendiness in the last couple of years have made them great investment pieces as well. I love the idea of veering away from the typical black and white or navy and trying a different color combo. Ann Taylor has a great pair of Graphic Stripe Ankle Pants that do just that. The Disturbed Stripe Pancake Pouch from Henry Bendel varies the stripe patterns and adds splashes of color. The Nanette Lepore Striped Top from I Heart WFO takes the stripe and crop trends and adds its own twist with red stripes and a blouson silhouette.
I’m even thinking of bringing the new baby in on this trend with these adorable Nature Baby for J.Crew Booties in Stripe. Don’t you just want to make kissy faces when you see them?
