I have to admit, despite the not-so-hot reviews, I have been eagerly anticipating the new Lane Bryant x Lela Rose collab. I stayed up late last night to place my order. The company is on Eastern Time btw. Midnight Eastern Time, no collection. Pacific Time rolls around, no collection. An hour later still no collection! Exhausted but I give it one last try. Yay, it’s up!
Refinery29 gave a preview of the collection late last year so I already knew exactly what I wanted.
Lace Peplum Tee into cart:
Lace A-Line Dress is a must:
Watercolor Printed Dress. Hmmm. Only available in a 14. Strange.
Print Block Sheath Dress. Weird. Only available in 26.
Trench Coat. Where is the trench coat?
With only two of the five items I wanted in my cart, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait until morning to place my order. Hey, maybe it was a glitch. Let’s give them time to get into the office and fix it. It is now 12 pm in Ohio, where their home office is located, and I see no changes. I contacted customer service about the missing sizes and items and the rep told me they sold out. Interesting since I was online when they launched and NEVER saw those sizes.
Okay. Well I decided to try the navy Knot Front Shirt Dress; it looks like a great basic. $118 for something that looks like it came from GAP! This better be perfection. In the end I am walking away with only two items I wanted, a pricey consolation dress, and waiting on an email explanation from Lane Bryant. So far, I’m disappointed.

Did you ever get any information from Lane Bryant? I really wanted the A Line dress, and I can’t find it anywhere!!!

I did get a reply a few days later saying that the dress was sold out and was now available. It is a coincidence that it seems to be the only product I see in the stores. Poor planning on merchandise distribution perhaps? I did call to inquire about the A-line dress for you. I was told that the Lela Rose line is online only. Strange since it says it is available in stores. She seemed surprised when I told her this and when I told her I had in fact spoken with a few stores and they do have some items. She said she would not be able to check what stores carried what items and I would have to call the stores individually to find the dress. The only items my local stores seem to carry is the pink tee and the floral watercolor dress, so they may be the only items sold in store. The A-line dress is beautiful. I am waiting on a new size on the lace top but it is made well. If you can’t get the dress, it has the same great lace detailing and you can dress it up with a black pencil skirt or down with jeans. It also has a built-in tank which is nice. I will post a review soon. The A-line dress is available on the website in a 12 right now. I would keep checking back for returns if that isn’t your size.
