Come on, who doesn’t like Converse? There are no other sneaks with more urban retro style than a pair of Chuck Taylor’s. Unfortunately, I don’t own a single pair. I sold off my last pair on Poshmark earlier this year. While I love them, they’re just not comfortable and as a mom, comfort is a priority for me. Devotees and sneaker-heads like my hubby and oldest daughter continue to wear them no matter what, but for me, the brand has taken a backseat to more comfortable options…until now.
Converse announced it has updated its popular Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers. The Chuck Taylor All Star II’s have a revamped sole with Nike Lunarlon technology for more cushioning and arch support (No more flat feet), a padded non-slip tongue (No more fishing the tongue out the side of your shoe), and micro-suede lining (Guess I’m not the only one who chaffed when going sockless) The change doesn’t come without a price. They are about $20 pricier than the originals but for a timeless, classic shoe that goes with everything, it is totally worth it! The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II’s launch July 28th.
