Perhaps my sweet tooth is in overdrive because all of my favorite food posts this week are desserts. With Easter right around the corner, I am keeping my eyes open for treat inspiration for my daughter’s class. I love these (1) Carrot Cake Pops from Bakerella. To be clear, they are cake pops that look like carrots but you can make them with carrot cake. It might be a wild, pregnancy craving but (2) Cap’n Crunch Chocolate Chip Cookies from Oh Joy! sound divine. Apparently they are served by a restaurant in LA called Black Hogg and they gave her the recipe! Since I am heading to LA this week, I will swinging by to get a taste of the original. It is raining here in Northern California and The Girl who Ate Everything’s (3) Chewy Carrot Cake Cookies are the perfect treat to pair with my afternoon cup of hot apple cider. (4) Vanilla Lemon Cake with Coconut Cream Cheese Frosting sounds like an intimidating cake to make, but Anna of Door Sixteen makes it sound doable and delicious. This yummo cake might be gracing my baby shower table soon.
